Part V -Vancouver Island Motorcycle Adventure

The Final Days of the Adventure

After the awe-inspiring landscapes and thrilling moments of my Vancouver Island journey, the final two days were more about covering ground than capturing memories. Leaving New Denver, I rode to Cranbrook and set up camp for the night. The town was quiet, offering a chance to rest and reflect on the incredible ride so far.

Alberta Bound

The next morning, I began the final leg back to Alberta. Crossing through the Crowsnest Pass, I made a brief stop at Lundbreck Falls—a hidden gem that I highly recommend for any traveler passing through the area. The rushing water and rugged beauty of the falls were a fitting reminder of the diverse landscapes I'd encountered throughout this trip.

From there, it was a battle with the relentless winds along Highway 2 North, a stretch of road that’s infamous for its gusts rolling off the Rockies. Alberta’s wind farms are no coincidence—they harness the very force that tested my endurance on this last leg.

As I rolled into Calgary, I felt a mix of emotions. Happiness to be home with my family again, but also sadness at leaving behind the rhythm of daily travel, the breathtaking sights, and the unplanned adventures. There’s something about the freedom of the road that gets under your skin—the thrill of not knowing what’s around the next bend.

Would I do it all again? Oh, absolutely. Next time, I’d go bigger and longer. There are more roads to explore, more sights to see, and more stories to create. This trip may have ended, but it’s only the beginning of the adventures waiting for me on two wheels.
